Teens Take Action! 2018

This event is expired.

Andria Lo 2017.

The de Young exhibition Revelations: Art from the African American South celebrates a historic acquisition of works of art by twenty-two contemporary African American artists. These artists address some of the most profound and persistent issues in American society surrounding race, class, gender, and spirituality. Their artworks expand our perspective of American history and ask us to reimagine our future.

This year’s Teens Take Action! is a call for future liberation.

Join us at the de Young to learn and be inspired by Revelations: Art from the African American South. This event will provide a platform in which diversity, human rights, and equality are discussed. The museum will host teen-led performances, local youth organizations, gallery activities, music, dance, and collective art making. See you on Friday, March 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for Teens Take Action! at the de Young. This event is for teens only. Free admission is granted with a high school ID.
