de Young K–12th Grade Reservation Request

Reservations for the 2017/2018 school year begin July 15, 2017.

General Guidelines

  • For guided and self-guided tours a minimum of one adult chaperone is required for every 10 students, regardless of age.
  • Please use one reservation form for each class, you may keep a copy for your records.
  • Requests will be processed in the order received.

Guided tours are fully booked for the exhibition, Revelations: Art from the African American South, but self-guided tours are still available.

Please Note: If you are requesting a guided tour on behalf of a teacher please provide your contact information in the "Second Contact" section below as well as the teacher’s contact information in the main section of the form.

Preferred Dates and Times

Self-Guided reservations for the permanent collection are available Tuesday–Friday starting at 12:30 pm, Thursdays starting at 9:30 am after February 8, 2018.

Special Exhibition self-guided visits are available Tuesday–Friday at 10 am, 10:30 am, 12 pm, and 12:30 pm. Visiting the permanent collection after the special exhibition is permitted, but please be aware of guided groups in the galleries.

Groups are not scheduled on the first free Tuesday of every month nor during Bouquets to Art week (March 13–18, 2018).

Audio tours highlight works in the permanent collection at the de Young. Audio tours are $6 per student OR $3 per student for shared players. Complimentary players are provided for one chaperone per 10 students.
