Museum Ambassadors

In the Museum Ambassadors program, teens from San Francisco Unified High Schools are hired and trained to facilitate art projects to families in the museum and the community.

This school year (November 2017–February 2018), Ambassadors will lead art projects inspired by our special exhibition, Teotihuacan: City of Water, City of Fire, in San Francisco Public Libraries. Starting November 2017, ambassadors can also be found at the de Young on Saturdays with our free Family Art Making tables. For more information on how to become a Museum Ambassador and other teen programs, visit our Teen Programs page.

The Museum Ambassador Program is made possible with support from the Michael M. Peacock Foundation, The Trociuk Family, Bank of America, de Youngsters, Kimball Foundation, The Links, Inc., the Marilyn Langer Memorial Fund, Ross Auxiliary of the Fine Arts Museums, The Sato Foundation, the Walter S. Johnson Foundation, and Zellerbach Family Foundation.
