Animedallion: Exploring Animal Motifs in Pearl Medallions on Central Asian Textiles

Textile artist and art historian Nazanin Hedayat Shenasa explores the concept of garments and the display of identity, drawing from the de Young’s permanent collection. This interactive installation includes handmade garments and a dwelling-space. The audience is invited to participate by creating a personal iconic textile.
