Author, curator, and architecture and design editor, Zahid Sardar (San Francisco) will offer examples from his new book, In & Out of Paris: Gardens of Secret Delights. The melding of classical French symmetry with asymmetrical British landscapes led to modern Parisian parks and a new urban infrastructure. His lecture will feature historic estates, the transformation of Parc Monceau, new private Parisian gardens, and repurposed sections of Paris that were transformed into elevated gardens long before New York’s High Line took shape.
