Join us for our Member Preview of Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs. Members at all levels are invited to attend. Space is limited; a timed ticket reservation is required.

Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs explores the life and accomplishments of Ramses II, known as Ramses the Great—the most celebrated and powerful pharaoh of Egypt’s Golden Age. Visitors can walk among towering statues and immerse themselves in multimedia productions that re-create moments from Ramses’s life. An optional virtual reality experience takes visitors on a tour of two of Ramses’s most impressive monuments: Abu Simbel and Nefertari’s tomb.

Ticket Information

  • Tickets include entry to Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs, Faith Ringgold: American People, as well as all permanent collection galleries at the de Young on the day of your visit.
  • Due to high demand, members are limited to one complimentary visit throughout the run of the Ramses exhibition. Additional tickets may be purchased at a discounted member price of $23. Learn more.
  • Tickets do not include admission to the virtual reality experience Ramses & Nefertari: Journey to Osiris. These tickets may be purchased at a discounted member price of $16.
