On April 6, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco launches Free Saturdays!
Every Saturday, San Francisco residents enjoy free general admission to both of the City’s beloved museums, the de Young and Legion of Honor. Celebrate this new initiative for locals with live music from San Francisco marching bands and free arts programming.
Meet us at the de Young as we dance to the brass band sound of Mission Delirium! This fun and lively 12-piece marching band will get down in front of the de Young museum to help us kick off and celebrate Free Saturdays. Mission Delirium's first set will take place at the front of the museum at 12 pm, with their second set happening at 2 pm.
Once inside, enjoy a variety of free programming welcoming new visitors, and old friends. Free Saturdays includes engaging art experiences for the entire family, including the de Youngsters studio, family art making, gallery guides, enhanced tours with discussion groups, sketching in the permanent collection galleries, and more. All related programming is free. Please be sure to check out our website for future updates about Free Saturdays. We will be offering new experiences every week and highlighting our local San Francisco talents.
