Gill surprises and delights as he produces beautiful and dramatic arrangements using materials exclusively foraged and gleaned from the San Francisco Botanical Garden and his private sources. His focus on making use of currently available plants, flowers, and branches found in situ means that his arrangements are not only seasonal but also reflect a special relationship with nature. Gill’s keen eye, creativity, and artistic passion are reflected in his amazing floral treasures. Featured on the cover of Martha Stewart Living May 2019 magazine, Gill truly creates earthly delights.
This year’s programs include four engaging demonstrations on flowers. The ticket price for each program is $50 and includes general admission to Bouquets to Art. All events take place at the de Young museum.
Note: To keep flowers as fresh as possible, the temperature of the Koret Auditorium may be cooler than usual. Please dress accordingly.
The Bouquets to Art 2019 programs are jointly underwritten by Eileen Holl, Kate and John Sullivan, the Belvedere-Tiburon Auxiliary, East Bay Auxiliary, Hillsborough Auxiliary, and Ross Auxiliary of the Fine Arts Museums.
