Piazzoni Murals Room
Since the Women’s March took place in January 2017, there has been a growing sense of solidarity among women who refuse to be silenced. What began as a protest among women from every racial and socio-economic background has evolved into a full-fledged social and political movement. As human rights and justice are being challenged around the world, this monumental and timely collection of poetry and prose raises the voices of women of color.
Join editor Deborah Santana and contributing authors in presentations from the anthology All the Women in My Family Sing (Nothing But The Truth Publishing, 2018). In this dynamic event, the authors will read from their essays, answer questions, and sign books.
Speakers include Belva Davis (author of Not in My Wildest Dreams: A Black Woman’s Life in Journalism), Natalie Baszile (author of Queen Sugar), and Nashormeh Lindo (artist and educator).
This is an intergenerational event. We encourage teens, students, and their families to stop by our teen programs table for a free button.
Free, no reservation required.
