The Textile Arts Council presents Vionnet: The Art of the Cut, a lecture with Sandra Ericson. In 1930s Paris, Madeleine Vionnet revolutionized haute couture by using the natural fluidity and elasticity of textiles on the bias. Every couturier since then has made use of her pioneer work, and she is among the most revered names in the fashion pantheon. Sandra Ericson has taught draping and fashion design for over 30 years, and specializes in the work of Mme. Vionnet. Ms. Ericson is the founder and Director of the Center for Pattern Design is St. Helena, California.
