Why have the Teotihuacan murals survived? Why do craftsmen make things to last beyond the time for which they were intended, and what has made these murals endure and become iconic works at the de Young?  Lesley Bone will address these questions and engage November Artist-in-Residence Javier Manrique in a discussion of how the Teotihuacan craftsmen have influenced his own process and philosophy.
