This event is expired.
Independent curator Brad Rosenstein will give a multimedia presentation, “From Tutu to Haute Couture: Costume and the Ballet,” which combines a brief history of ballet costume with more specific examples from Rudolf Nureyev: A Life in Dance. The program will culminate in a fashion show of costumes from the archives of San Francisco Ballet, modeled by San Francisco Ballet School Trainees.
No reservations are needed. Free tickets will be available the evening of the presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m in front of the Auditorium. The event is first come, first seated. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tonight's public programs are free. Tickets are required to view the permanent collection or special exhibitions and can be purchased on site.
