What transforms a painting into a celebrity? Leonardo¹s Mona Lisa and Vermeer¹s Girl with a Pearl Earring each create a dynamic visual relationship that engages the viewer in a series of unanswered questions.
Sunnie Evers is a scholar, teacher, visiting lecturer, and fundraiser. She has over 15 years' experience working in education, teaching at Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Convent of the Sacred Heart High School. She is also involved with the boards of a variety of nonprofit institutions including San Francisco Ballet, Narrative Magazine, and Save Venice. She received her PhD from UC Berkeley in 1995 and has presented papers at scholarly conferences internationally on Veronese and his patrons.
