Rudolf Nureyev was one of the most influential personalities of the 20th century, and we want to know how his life and work had an impact on you. Did you see Nureyev perform in 1971 at Zellerbach Hall? Were you lucky enough to dance with him? Or did he inspire you to become a dancer or performer?
In conjunction with Fridays Night at the de Young this week, we'd like to capture your recollections and stories about the dance icon. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., we'll have a video camera set up in the Piazzoni Murals Room to record your memories of Nureyev. Don't forget to wear your tutu!
