Matt Small's Chamber Ensemble presents "Made in San Francisco: Modern Music Influenced by the Music of the Post-Impressionist Era." In honor of the ballet-themed paintings from the Musée d’Orsay on display, Small will present a ballet-inspired composition, paying homage to the cultural connections between ballet, music, and art made by the Ballets Russes in Paris during the early 20th century.
In a special premiere film screening of Chihuly: Fire and Light (56 min.), observe Dale Chihuly at work with his team he conceives and installs his most ambitious exhibition to date, Chihuly at the de Young. A question-and-answer session with producer Mark McDonnell will immediately follow the film. Admission is $7, or $5 for members and tickets are available in advance at https://tickets.famsf.org/public.
Celebrate the residency of Dan Taulapapa McMullin with an artist talk, light refreshments, and live music and dance from the Pacific Islander dance performance community.

PROGRAMS ARE FREE and in the "free zone" of the museum.Regular admission fees are required to visit the galleries. Gallery admission is free for members. Special exhibition tickets are required to visit Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne, and Beyond.
