Club Cultures History Lecture Series, Part 1
"Schooling the Children: It Came from Club Häagen-Dazs"

Waiyde Palmer, longtime artist, activist, bartender, and self-proclaimed club-crawler, will give a talk on the history of queer club cultures in San Francisco and beyond: how they have been shaped by changes in our political and cultural landscape, and how these changes have been shaped by the club cultures; how they were devastated by AIDS, and how they have managed to survive and re-create themselves.
