Celebrate hometown hero Richard Diebenkorn with a group of musicians inspired by Studio 13 Jass Band, the Dixieland jazz ensemble that included Diebenkorn contemporaries and Bay Area Figurative painters Elmer Bischoff and David Park. This classic early jazz/Dixieland combo features Ed Ivey on tuba, Carl Lunceford on banjo, Mike Rinata on trombone, Tom Griesser on clarinet, and others performing music that Studio 13 Jass Band performed, Turk Murphy pieces, and standards in the Jelly Roll Morton tradition.
