Third Annual Some Thing Tiara Sensation Pageant, presented in partnership with SOME Thing
SOME Thing is a weekly party that seeks to explore, open, and refine drag performance using new modalities and forms, including dance, burlesque, lip synch, live singing, female impersonation, and the general creation of different personas—regardless of gender.
The contestants will use their talents to develop a look and a performance of up to seven minutes each that will woo the audience and persuade the judges to crown one of them the next Tiara Sensation.
The annual Tiara Sensation Pageant is a larger version of the weekly event that has been held at the Stud Bar since 2008. In hosting this event at the de Young Museum this year, SOME Thing aims to reach a different audience, and produce the same exciting results as previous partnered events. This may be the most exciting collaboration yet.
