Beach Blanket Babylon and Live Music with Mads Tolling
This event is expired.
Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon is the longest running musical revue in theatre history. Hailed as "a constant cascade of showstoppers" by the San Francisco Chronicle, Friday Nights kicks off the season with a special guest performer from the star-studded cast!
The Mads Tolling Quartet
The distinctive quartet integrates the violin into a traditional jazz combo. All four instruments play unconventional roles to make the music come to life. Violin may act as drum, guitar may take bass lines, and bass may carry the melody. There are moments of pure spontaneity, but underlying the concept of the Mads Tolling Quartet are thoughtful compositions and arrangements. All four players have rethought their instruments in a fresh way, relying on their instincts to let the music speak for itself.
