Dance “N” Rhythm
Dance ’n’ Rhythm includes a collection of paintings, textiles, and a video installation. Visitors are invited to participate in creating a mixed-media collage that reflects the world of rhythm and dance in Northern Ghana based on the artist’s sketch of the composition. With tracing sheets, visitors trace the forms and steps that make up the drawing and use cardboard, brown paper, and strips of Ghanaian cloth to create a relief of the collage’s main dancing figures. Paint, newspaper, and other recycled materials will be used for the background and foreground. For more information, please visit www.alaagyfineart.com.
