Bay Area composer, trumpeter, singer, and songwriter Sarah Wilson writes music that is "evocative, elegant, and comfortably familiar all at once" (Time Out NY). Her diverse style has evolved through working in jazz, theater, film, animation, dance, and performance art. For her fellowship, Wilson will create and premiere Off the Walls, a site-specific collaborative performance featuring choreography by Los Angeles -- based dance company Catch Me Bird. Wilson's collaborative partners are Z Space, a hub for artists and audiences to create, develop, and produce outstanding new work, and Stags' Leap Winery, one of Napa's founding wine estates with a long tradition as a patron of the arts.
Join the artists and see dance and music works-in-progress in the studio from
July 5--28, Wednesdays-Saturdays from 1:00--5:00 p.m., Fridays until 8:30 p.m.
