Ultrakitsch: Sculptures in Light, Sound, and Motion
Cosmo Kichman creates zany, fun sculptures from kitsch objects that he says are “a laugh waiting to happen” and that light up and move to music. Kids of all ages—especially adults—are encouraged to participate in the large-scale installation Ultrakitschen by decorating the “kitschen” and bringing kitchen objects such as small appliances and utensils. Kids can make an Ultrakitsch hat to take home.

Closing Reception Friday, March 27, 6:00–8:30 pm
Celebrate the residency of Cosmo Kichman with light refreshments, live tango music, and your most ultrakitsch outfit!

The Artist Studio program is supported by the Fleishhacker Foundation. Thank you to Nobilo Wines for their in-kind support.
