Art After School offers an in-depth exploration of world cultures through the museum’s extensive collections of art from Africa, Mesoamerica, Oceania, and North America. Through careful observation and engaging art activities, these classes explore the connections between the visual arts, language arts, and social studies.

Found throughout the Americas, the maguey has provided the staples of life necessary for human existence for thousands of years. People throughout the Americas use its many medicinal properties, granting the plant mythical powers in myths and stories told through the ages.
