Schedule a Visit to the Resource Center for Education
The Resource Center for Education at the de Young Museum is open to educators and museum visitors with an interest in arts education. The center offers visitors an opportunity to plan museum visits, create classroom activities, or use the Museums' resources of touching-objects, books, videos and Art Trunks.

The Education department at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco provides a rich and varied array of resources for educators to implement in the classroom. Teachers Guides can be used both in the classroom to prepare students for their visit to the Museums as well as to conduct in-gallery lessons, while Get Smart with Art materials can be downloaded and applied in the classroom setting.
Below you will find resources and curriculae specially crafted for the Museums' temporary exhibtions. These special exhibition resources include study images and themes, pre-visit activities, lesson plans and more all in alignment with California State Standards.
Throughout the year, the Education department hosts a series of special events, workshops, and open houses for educators.
