“Flowers, Untamed" with Emily Thompson
Emily Thompson (New York) trained as a sculptor and is fascinated by the decorative arts. These influences are apparent in her floral arrangements that combine rare and unlikely flowers, seed pods, branchess and undergrowth to achieve design that creates desire for the obscure. Her clients include major museums, popular magazines, high-end retailers, and the Obama White House, where she spent a week as a guest designer of Holidays at the White House. Thompson will demonstrate how she balances the uncultivated organic world with the delicacies of classical ornamental design.
